ECUMENICAL ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Church Code of Conduct Survey

The Church Code of Conduct is an essential document used throughout the motu to support employees and volunteers in understanding expectations for their behaviour. It guides how we work, serve, and care for one another.

The National Office for Professional Standards are extending the timeframe on this survey to ask everyone in the Church - what in our Code of Conduct works well, and what could be strengthened?

Please share your perspectives via our brief online survey whether you are familiar with the Code or not. We also encourage you to share this invitation with others.

OPEN HEAVEN

All are invited to join Bishop Michael and Christians from across Canterbury at Open Heaven 2026 - a combined prayer meeting. It will be a powerful night of worship and intercession for New Zealand. This night will be a chance for Christians to come together as one, lifting our voices in praise and

seeking God’s blessing for our country. We invite you to join us for this special evening of prayer and worship. To be held at Wolfbrook Arena on Thurs, Feb 19. Doors open at 6:30pm, the prayer meeting will begin at 7:00pm. This is a free event, open to everyone. For more info visit our website.

CYT WORSHIP NIGHT

Join Bishop Michael, over a hundred Young leaders and all Aotearoa’s Diocesan seminarians at our first CYT Event for 2026 for Youth and Young Adults (12 to 35 years old).

As part of our Youth Ministry Equipping School, we’d love for you to join us for a night of exhortation, worship, adoration and reconciliation. Our friends at Empire Chicken are joining us beforehand for dinner (optional - $20 - 6pm onwards) as well as the students and staff of Holy Cross Seminary as part of their start of year retreat. You are so welcome.

VACANCY – STELLA MARIS PARISH

Stella Maris Parish is seeking a passionate, organised, faith‑filled Parish Event & Evangelisation Coordinator to support parish life through coordinating events, promoting parish activities, building relationships with ethnic and school communities, and leading evangelisation initiatives such as Alpha. An ideal candidate would be a committed Catholic who is organised, confident working with people, comfortable speaking publicly, and able to coordinate volunteers. Crafty CREW

Holy Family Parish hosts monthly meetings in the Bishop Joyce Centre at Our Lady of Victories, 106 Main South Rd in Sockburn. The first meeting of 2026 is Sat, Feb 14, 12:30 -3:00pm.
