West Coast Parishes gather for Parish Renewal

On Saturday 20 May, Bishop Michael gathered with the priests and representatives of the Our Lady of the Woods Parish South Westland, St Mary’s Parish Hokitika, and St Patrick’s Parish Greymouth. Held in Hokitika, the gathering was led by Bishop Michael and members of the Bishop’s Pastoral Office. The day began with Mass, before our Bishop shared something of his own faith journey, encouraging those present to be close to Jesus. Participants spoke about living faith in the context of the three parishes on the Coast and our hopes that our parish communities enable people to encounter Christ.
