Work Begins on St Joseph's Church, Temuka

Recently, work began on our beautiful historic St Joseph's Church in Temuka. This project will include the installation of new steel frames within the roof space, to provide additional strength to the walls and support to the gable ends, as well as the installation of a new lightweight spire. Additional work includes the installation of a fire protection system, an upgraded electrical switchboard, emergency lighting, toilet and accessibility facilities, improved sacristy layouts, and a new reconciliation room. Other refurbishment work includes stone repairs and re-pointing, a lighting upgrade, audio system installation, new spouting and downpipes, new floor coverings, plaster repairs, repainting to walls and ceilings, additional heating, and repairs to stained glass. The project is expected to take 9-12 months to complete.
