Over 200 Christian Leaders Pray for the Peace and Prosperity of Christchurch

The end of July saw over 200 church leaders, mission agencies, business, and other Christian leaders from throughout the city, come together to pray for the "peace and prosperity of the city"  (Jeremiah 29:7). Following Mayor Phil Mauger's opening of the gathering, small groups were able to pray for one another, for our city, for our nation, and the nations of the world. Mike Stopforth from the Bishop's Pastoral Office said, "it is always a joy to gather with our brothers and sisters to pray together for the needs of our community and our world."
