Volunteer

Volunteering is a vital and treasured part of participating in the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch, the parishes, communities and support entities, because together we are truly ‘one body of Christ’.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to have new experiences as part of your church. We invite you to step up, get involved, and help out. There are a variety of roles to suit your gifts, interests, and availability. 

Such opportunities include: 

• Ministry of the Word, 
• Ministry of the Eucharist, 
• Ministry of the Sick 
• Sacristans
• Youth – Group Leaders 
• Music 
• Alpha 
• Sunday Mass helpers – greeters, collectors, projectionists, 
• Church cleaners, 
• Altar Society / flower arrangers
