Ensuring that there are enough priests to serve God’s people and to administer His sacraments is one of the most essential aspects of our mission. Priests are the co-workers of Christ and the stewards of His mysteries. They preach His word, celebrate the Eucharist, forgive sins, heal wounds, and shepherd His flock.
That is why we need your support for the Bishop’s Appeal for Seminarians. This appeal helps to provide for the education and formation of our future priests, who are currently discerning and preparing for their sacred ministry. Our diocese is blessed with five young men who have answered God’s call to the priesthood. They have left behind their families, careers, and worldly ambitions to follow Christ more closely and to serve His people more faithfully.
They need prayers and financial assistance to continue their journey towards ordination. The cost of educating and forming a seminarian is nearly $400,000. This is why the Appeal for Seminarians is so vital. It allows us to share in the responsibility and the joy of preparing these men for their sacred ministry.
